About

Mary Linda McBride

I believe that we each have a deep well of resilience.

And although we can’t control every circumstance in our personal and professional lives, we can learn to respond to obstacles and unwanted change with greater clarity, calm, and compassion.

I teach mindfulness and meditation skills to reduce stress, build resilience, and cultivate greater well-being.

My clients are changemakers - courageous and mission-driven people who strive to make things better whether at work, at home, or in their communities. I coach individuals and train workplace teams – corporate, small business, education, and nonprofit.

Teaching mindfulness was not in my career plan. By nature, I’m not what people typically refer to as chill. (I mean…I grew up in New Jersey after all!)

I came to this work because I needed it most.

As a nonprofit fundraiser, trailing spouse, parent, and volunteer, I spent the better part of 25 years fueled by caffeine and high expectations. Then, in a proverbial New York minute, my life radically changed. My marriage detonated, my last child left home for college, and my work life became unmanageable. The volatility and uncertainty began to affect my health.

I felt overwhelmed. I looked to others for answers but eventually came to realize that I had to turn toward myself for a resolution.

Hearing about a course called Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), I registered and was instructed to purchase the book Full Catastrophe Living by Jon Kabat-Zinn.  To my surprise, I already owned that book. It was waiting on my bookshelf. I was ready.

I’ve spent ten years studying, practicing, and learning to teach mindfulness and meditation to others who want to find a resolution for unchecked stress and overwhelm - to live “the full catastrophe” more intentionally and skillfully, even happily.

If you are ready to take that step for yourself or your team, I am ready to accompany you.

Let’s work together to create a mindful resolution.
